This Season's Woes

It is with great regret that Midshires Grasstrack Club (MGTC) has to announce their withdrawal from staging the ACU 2010 British Grasstrack Championships on Sunday 22nd August 2010.
 

Due to ongoing marital issues between our landowners it has become evident that it will be impossible for MGTC to stage the event at Cleeve Prior & after seeking legal advice we have reluctantly withdrawn as the promoting club.

The club has been working tirelessly behind the scenes to obtain assurances/guarantees from the relevant parties but unfortunately these have not been forthcoming, without this commitment we could not support this prestigious event.
 

MGTC apologise to riders, spectators and officials for any inconvenience caused, the club did look at other options including our Bradley Green venue but for one reason or another none of these were suitable for MGTC to stage the Championships.
 

The club will work with the ACU to seek an alternative promoter for the Championships and offer our support wherever possible, finally we would like to thank everyone for their understanding and hope that we will have the opportunity to stage the event at some point in the future.

The Track Racing Committee are pleased to announce that Burton and Leicester GTA will now run the British 250cc, 350cc and 500cc Sidecar Championship at Tallington on the same scheduled date of the 22nd August 2010.
